There are so many things I loved about this whimsical wedding. Here are my top three…
1) Bringing tears to the groom’s eyes. (Real men do cry. Especially over pretty weddings – ha!)
2) Creative collaboration. THANK YOU to the countless wedding vendors who worked on this awesome wedding with us… From climbing in trees, scouring garage sales of scary hoarder cat ladies and spray painting at 2 am (Wendee, Stacey + the Petal Pushers team!) to the talented team of photographers who shot every detail so perfectly. We appreciate you.
3) Notes like this…
Becky — I feel like the term “thank you” doesn’t even come close to telling you how much Daniel and I appreciate what you did for us. The truth is neither Daniel or I were that into weddings in the beginning and by the end of Saturday night, we were so sad that it was over! You totally understood our vision and gave us something that was waaaay better than we ever imagined, so thank you a million times over.
Katy + Daniel, thank you for the creative freedom you gave us all. And thanks to your awesome mom who knew deep down you wanted a wedding and let us make it the most fun wedding ever. It was an honor working with all of you!
Much love, Becky
Katy + Daniel, Part Two

One signature cocktail? Not for this wedding. We had four old timey libations for guests to enjoy. See dance party pics below...

We did these "random fact" napkins as a surprise for Katy + Daniel, celebrating all the little fun things that make their relationship so very unique and special.

We had so much fun designing the tables for the reception - long vineyard style tables were topped with baby blue burlap runners and touches of lace. In true Anthropologie style, custom made "mismatched" cloth napkins were tied with ribbon and twine. Three "Southern Comfort" stations, featuring braised short ribs, shrimp & grits + the most amazing truffled mac & cheese were highlighted on the menus at each place setting.

Proud daddy.

Something blue...

And then the party started... The craziest photo booth ever. A silhouette artist. Bocce ball. And DJ Honeycomb spinning until the wee hours...

No traditional wedding cake for this couple! Instead we had Word of Mouth create a trio of their favorite sweet treats - banana pudding, mini pecan pie bars + peach cobbler. These goodies + their passed sweet potato fries "midnight snack" kept the dance floor packed.

Custom cake ball favors were handed to guests as they were shuttled back to downtown. Lemon, carrot cake + espresso - delish!

What a night. And what an amazing moment captured!
