Katie was one of our favorite summer BZ brides! She knew exactly how she wanted her wedding day to look and feel, down to the very last detail. We love that! The coral, marigold, tangerine + poppy palette was perfectly paired against the picturesque Barton Creek Resort backdrop. It was a stunning day.
Katie’s wedding dress was amazing! The delightfully-sweet bride was stunning in her CUSTOM Monique Lhuillier gown. Yes, Katie actually adjusted ML’s design to fit her petite frame. The result = drop dead gorgeous! Charlie was equally as charming in a striking tan suit and tangerine tie.
Katie had always dreamed of saying “I do” in a traditional ceremony in a church, so we set the pavilion in a way that emulated an “altar” and gave guests the feeling of an intimate, spiritual space. David Kurio Designs created a showstopping floral cross that was set against the limestone fireplace and became the focal point for Katie and Charlie’s ceremony. The setting, including hundreds of pillar candles + a 30 person wedding party, was full of love and warmth. Each guest was given a hand-painted maraca to “shake at the kiss!” Following the kiss, we cued the mariachi band and the Tex Mex fiesta cocktail hour began.
Sauce welcomed guests into the Governor’s Ballroom, where guests enjoyed freshly-squeezed margaritas + hand-rolled cigars before dancing the night away! These guests were so much fun to see in action, even starting a “napkin hat” trend on the dance floor. The evening ended with a sweet rose petal exit before the bride and groom were whisked off to the after party.
Katie — we truly enjoyed working with you (and Kim!) on your wedding plans. You and Charlie are THE most adorable couple and we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness.
