Sometimes checking the mail produces such sweet surprises! I received a package of goodies the other day from one of our fall couples, Leah & Craig, and wanted to share their lovely One World Theatre wedding from last October. If you are looking for an amazing Austin wedding venue, definitely stop by One World for a visit. The views are so fabulous!!
The ceremony was held at sunset, under a Chuppah from Leah’s Temple in Dallas. Guests enjoyed the amazing Hill Country views from the One World Theatre terrace as an acoustic guitarist played wedding favorites. Adding a little twist to the traditional Jewish ceremony, the couple wrote their own vows and there was not a dry eye in the crowd. So touching!
We worked with Leah to help refine her wedding vision and create the design plan for her big day. Special thanks to Last Petal for the fun textural flowers and special touches! Rich eggplant purple, ivory and a warm olive green were the perfect complement to the terracotta architecture of One World Theatre. Rustic wooden decorative balls and purple specialty lighting helped to warm up their tent and create a festive atmosphere for their dinner party under the stars.
These two were all about the food and the fun! Guests enjoyed “his & her” signature cocktails — Mexican Martinis & Caprihinas — that set the tone for the festivities. Word of Mouth produced an amazing feast of all of the couple’s favorites — gourmet grilled pizzas, beef tenderloin, salmon, gnocchi, rosemary chicken & lots of delicious salads and pastas. Delish. No one went hungry at this wedding!
Leah and Craig fell in love with the idea of their favorite cupcakes in all kinds of yummy flavors instead of a traditional wedding cake. Ever the crafty girl, Leah used her mom’s fabulous silver cupcake stands and platters to display all kinds of treats and goodies. She even found a super cute cake topper (Texas Longhorn meets die-hard Michigan Fan!) on Etsy as a surprise for Craig — love it
The reception was a giant dance party, with one of our favorite club DJ and loads of candles hanging from the theater ceiling. Guests partied until the early hours of the morning, fueled by a gourmet coffee bar and a late night slider snack. So much fun and lots of great dance moves!
Congratulations, Leah and Craig. The best is yet to come!
