Mary + Riley ~ A Parisian Party at Chateau Bellevue

Oh, Austin winter. You make us long for sunny Spring days and yummy drinks with fun names. Alas, the 100+ degree days will be here before we know it, so I’m throwing on my favorite scarf today and enjoying a hot toddy to brave this weather. Just kidding. It’s hot tea. But, on this gloomy wintery day, we are going back to pretty Fall weather to share an Austin wedding that promises warm fuzzies and peachy Parisian loveliness.

Mary + Riley

The first time I talked to Mary via phone, I immediately knew this wedding would be something special. She loved all things French. Moi, aussi! They wanted great lighting, vintage cocktails and lots of fun little touches, which we really love to collaborate with our clients on. And, best of all, Mary was collecting all kinds of vintage treasures to magically transform the venue. Styling this wedding was SO fun.

Mary also happened to be a very busy lady, trying to plan a wedding long distance from Los Angeles. I really had no clue why she was oh-so busy until I went to the Alamo Drafthouse one day and saw her in a movie trailer. Hi, Becky. Duh.

From Mary’s drop-dead gorgeous Monique Lhuillier “Grace” dress to her peach Chanel shoes and signature scarlet lipstick, she was truly a stunning bride. And a dead ringer for Audrey Hepburn, n’est-ce pas? Riley was the sweetest groom, and I loved that their wedding party incorporated their families in every way possible, from Mary’s sisters doing the ceremony readings to the Riley’s sister being a groomswoman.

Vintage postcards and fans, fleur de sel caramel and pistachio macarons, their “Bees Knees” lavender-honey libation and petite teacup favors all put the icing on the cake for this sweet couple. I just adored working with Mary + Riley, and their families, as well. And we are so very thankful for the opportunity.

Merci, Mary + Riley. Thank you for  having us along for the planning of your wedding and allowing us to share your day on the BZ blog.

Amazing photos by The Nichols. They are awesome, right? Special thanks to FILO lighting and the Merveille Floral crew.
